Turkish police used a water cannon to disperse several thousand people protested in front of the Supreme Electoral Council (JSK) in Ankara for the results of the local elections, in which the absolute victory swept the ruling Justice and Development (AK). AK Party, led by Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, has retained control of the two largest cities, Istanbul and Ankara. The demonstrators called for a recount of votes in Ankara and shouted slogans lateral such as "Tayyip thief" and "JSK, people are with you."
