The Boy in the Stripped jane wicker Pyjamas (England / USA, 2008 - 1:32 a.m. min) Director: Mark Herman Writers: Mark Herman, based on the novel by John Boyne Starring: Asa Butterfield (Bruno), Zac Mattoon O'Brien jane wicker (Leon), Domonkos Németh (Martin), Henry Kingsmill (Karl), Vera Farmiga (Mother), David Thewlis (Father)
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is set in 1940 and begins when an eight year old boy, Bruno, gets news that will have to leave their comfortable home in Berlin and moved with his family to a secluded spot in the field. The reason is the promotion jane wicker of her father, a Nazi officer, which for him is just a soldier. Bruno lives in considering the perfect home, go to school, have friends and everything we could ask. A change in plans was not the boy you want to be exploitative. jane wicker
Once arriving to the new home, out of his bedroom window, he can spot a big farm, where adults and children spend all day dressed jane wicker in striped pajamas. This farm he sees the room happens to be the possibility that he has to change the routine solitary place and get someone to play with. In place has nothing to do.
Bruno asks his mother about the strange people jane wicker of the farm, which always go "striped pajamas" and it is forbidden to go there, but your explorer instinct speaks louder and the kid "discovers" a path. And there he meets Shmuel, who also has eight, but lives on the other side of the fence and forms an unlikely friendship with a Jewish boy. Bruno does not know why the boy being there.
The visits are increasingly rare and, curious, he goes on to ask his parents jane wicker and his sister what is this place and who are those people, but the answers, sometimes jane wicker elusive, sometimes jane wicker negative, have nothing to do with the what your heart tells you.
The site does not have anything beautiful and cheerful as he sees in the videos shown to their father, and the Jewish boy does not look anything like the monster drawn by all. Then why does he have to be the enemy? That's one of the things that Bruno can not understand. But if the friend Shmuel can not come to this side of the fence, for reasons he does not understand, then it might be easier to pass himself off to the side there.
Shmuel (Jack Scanlon), that the most obvious metaphor is a double Bruno, boy the same age who lives on the other side of the fence that demarcates the problem. There they establish this relationship as a reflection in a broken mirror, where on one side there is the archetype of life done in the correct quadrant, and in another the expression of all the problems in this quadrant exposed in every detail: the decayed tooth, the shaved head, in all such boy in the striped pajamas is the same as Bruno, only on the wrong side of the fence. jane wicker 8 Comments
axei super cool and also sad. As Bruno and his friend Shamuel died it made me think that we should not discriminate against people just because they are Jews or Nazis. learned that no matter the religion that person but what they have inside.
I saw this movie, I was sad all day coz the boy just wanted to play and did not know it would end qo on the other side of the fence, qo own father foresaw tragedy, but not q imagined his son was in the middle .... Even very good this movie!!
This film portrays a damn good time between so-called "rational" human beings and whatever jane wicker else touches is the vision of a cruel and prejudiced jane wicker world in the eyes of two innocent jane wicker children who have purity in their souls. The film ends further emphasizing the horror of Nazism and the eternal wounds left by him. The friendship between Bruno and Shmuel leaves us one example of acceptance and understanding of diversity. And just imagine the heart of the father of Bruno to learn that his son was the victim of his own weapons. We should reflect on before the facts and not let others govern Hitler's tyranny in the world.
I've watched this film several times and every time I go back to watch me get emotional. Spent for all the classes of students I work. All loved, revolted with some characters. It was a way for them to manifest themselves in being able to do something for the Jews. By projecting this film I'm doing a good job with my students. I would like you
