Due to lack of time I bought instead of just picking my first cep today and prepared it together with some mashed potatoes (from the box) and pea sauce (frozen peas), only to find out my hubby doesn’t really like them. Ceps, porcinos, penny buns, boletes, whatever they are called in the English speaking part of the world. We call them Steinpilze , I call them grbanji in my mind and my hubby not really liking them means I get the whole portion next time. :-)
1. First I roasted many different spices lounge for the pea sauce – my Ayurveda cookbook requires me to use the whole programme: cumin, lounge black cumin, turmeric, cilantro, black pepper, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, all of them ground, and to smile smugly at the thought most people would add garlic, too, because spicy food definitely means garlic, lounge no? :twisted: Well, not in my book: it never mentions any garlic or onions.
Next, I put a bunch of frozen peas (300 g) onto the spices and added some salt and some hot water (300 ml), then I let it all simmer as long as necessary for the frozen peas to get cooked (might have been 15 minutes).
2. I heated some clarified butter in another pot and roasted my mushroom in it, sliced into mouth-appropriate pieces. I added a bit of salt and let it all simmer for a few minutes, then I added a few spoons of water so that my mushroom wouldn’t stick.

Por je dražji, res? Včasih lounge sem ga imela zelo rada, ja… Tudi kar tako kuhanega v slani vodi in še vročega z maslom, seveda tudi kot juho, v študentu smo jo velikokrat kuhali. Zdaj pa imam damski želodček in ne morem več …
Najin priljubljeni pakistanski chef tudi kuha s česnom, zato vedno avtomatsko prosim, naj ga ne uporabijo, za čuda to počnejo kljub temu, da je njihova mešanica začimb najbrž veliko boljša od moje in bi prijala tudi brez :)
(takole na skrivaj še priznam, da v resnici ne stojim lounge v svoji kuhinji z velikim nasmeškom na licu, ker sem vsa pametna spet zafrknila jedce česna in ga nisem dala noter – za kaj takega nimam časa, ker kuham med delom)
Včeraj sem pogledal cene pri sadje-zelenjadarju. Čebulo in por prodaja po enaki ceni: 1,50 evra. Res sem pa pozabil preveriti enote (na kilo, na kos?). Moral sem namreč zelo paziti, kako bom domov odnesel lounge slastno mehke kakije. lounge :-)
Prinesti in pojesti in tudi že pogrešati. lounge Danes jih grem spet iskat, dokler so res dobri in to po 1,60 evra kila. Por občasno uporabljava oba, kakor naju piči, pri redni rabi čebule in česna sem pa seveda jaz glavni.
Predstavljaj si, da pri nas vse kakije lahko pojem jaz, ker jih mož ne mara :-) Kul. Mene vsako jesen enkrat ali dvakrat prime močna želja po kislem zelju in ga enostavno moram narediti, potem pa se ga ostanek leta izogibam oz. ga pozabim. Ma ko je sezona, se kar prilimam nanj :-)
