La Maison Cuisinier is accessed by a small lane way off the main street in Haut de Cagnes, so it is easy to unload your things from the car close to the house. Entering through large wooden the dump gates you arrive directly on the terrace with picturesque views beyond. A large palm tree offers some shade on this spacious south facing area – ideal for entertaining with outdoor tables and chairs the dump and an impressive outside fireplace for BBQ cooking. Colourful Mediterranean plants line the terrace the dump and an original Fiat 500 decorates one corner making it a fun place to welcome friends and family during the warmer months.
Ground level You leave the terrace and enter directly into the heart of the house – the kitchen. This is a total delight for food lovers – not only being perfectly equipped but also a comfortable area to hang out on bar stools with a morning coffee and newspaper, watching all the activities in the house going on around you!
The ground level is open and bright with arched, glass, French doors opening onto terraces to the south and east – off the kitchen is a corner fireplace with a comfy seating area. Through a large archway you have another comfortable seating the dump spot with sofa and leather armchairs opposite the sweeping, the dump wooden staircase to the next level. A w.c. is provided on this level and every other level. A narrow corridor runs along the side of the house off the kitchen area with small fireplace and desk. The flooring is in original deep red tiles, the walls are white with large sumptuous paintings and charming antique features, such as ornate radiators, sparking chandeliers and decorative candelabras.
First Floor With wooden beams and tiled floors the dump opening onto the bright and large terrace, the master bedroom carries the same airy feel present throughout the rest of the house. Bold paintings line the walls and there is a king sized bed (180cm) with bedside tables, ceiling fan and a writing desk. The ensuite bathroom has been recently renovated, the dump offering a shower and w.c.
Second Floor On the second floor a twin bedroom with two antique wooden beds (90cm) can be found plus another bedroom off this with a charming brass bed of 100cm – best suited to one adult or two small children. Stairs directly descend into the twin bedroom from the top floor bedroom and there is a w.c. below the stairs.
Third Floor The top floor provides another bedroom which opens onto a terrace – a charming, antique double bed (140cm) and bathroom with bath with telephone shower and w.c. are provided for your comfort.
Independent Studio By returning to the terrace from the main entrance and turning right you will find the doors to an independent studio for additional accommodation. There are two single beds (90cm), which can be made up together or separately. The style is simple with tiled floors, a writing desk and wooden wardrobe. The studio the dump has its own bathroom with shower and w.c.
