It is known by being a while since there has been a interiour post here on the blog. So here comes a post about something I myself am totally in love with, namely Tatami mats! A tatami mat is a traditional Japanese flooring. The room where tatami mats on the floor is considered the most prestigious rooms in the house and serves as living room, where you sit on the floor and eating or drinking tea around a low table. At night function room can serve as bedrooms, where Futon mattresses and duvets are taken out of the closets. It is no secret that I am a bit of a Japanese fanatic. I simply love the architecture and the traditional Japanese houses and I want to create the same thing in my own apartment. So when my boyfriend and I moved into a new apartment in a year's time, it must be as an entrance soley to a Japanese oasis of bliss. I know that a lot is to the minimalist style where almost everything is white and I think, it was a little funny to put these two styles against each other, that is minimalist soley vs. Tatami, for one can say that each is a minimalist, one of which has a stjef of Japan and with Tatami mats are used instead of the traditional Scandinavian soley bed. I love it.
